Exhaust advice

I need to urgently do an upgrade of my exhaust system on my 318is but not sure which way to go.. Oem or powerflow? Not really interested in performance but rather fuel efficiency...

Whats the issue with your current system?

Powerflow maybe cheaper than the dealers.

A performance system could help with fuel saving as well

remove the Cats if it has and replace with a big enough box depending on how loud/soft you want it.

If there is no cats i dont see how an exhaust will give you efficiency unless the boxes that are on right now is very old and breaking

Powerflow, xflow even Noise Boys or so can help you.

removing the old system, and replacing with a free flow system, and big enough silencers will result in better air flow away from the engine, making it more efficient, under normal driving styles...without affecting the sound

added advantage is that with a free flow system, the option of extra power is available

Sorry to hijack this thread, Ralf have you gotten new tail pieces as yet. Came by the shop last week and you were still waiting for them. Want to do a decat and staggered tailpieces on my E85 Z4

I know that we took delivery of a whole lot of tailpieces recently as our stand is fully populated

however

if there is nothing on the stand that fits your requirements, then let us know exactly what you want, and then I will drive thru to DEMON with my exhaust welder so that he can either source the correct item from their stock, or make an order for a custom piece according to your specs

if it is custom manufacture, it will take about 2-3 days lead time before we can physically have it, but if it is a stock item, then we will have it immediately.
