Evolves X Pipe manufacturer,only cheaper

Guys,this is a great write up of a debate as to whether Russ Fellows supplied the Evolve X Pipes on the E92 M3 at a cost of approx R28k plus R8k for the remap.
The actual manufacturer charges R23k for the same pipes with a stage 2 remap.
I guess the Question here is..Are we just paying for the luxury of a brand sticker at twice the price of the actual cost of the item.Keeping in mind that the manufacturer is still making a profit.
So - A reseller makes more than 100% profit - Us consumers need to demand better prices and stir suppliers to be more price competitive.

Its a ripoff.

Fortunately X-Pipes can be made locally with the same steel and specs for much much less.

They only charge you their own price is ,,. Because they can.Needed to top up oil on the M. Called about and got a price from a few wholesalerz with retail outlets. Price was obviously cheaper.called the stealership and asked them to price match . They said that their supplier charged them a higher price.after some ball busting, they price matched and did the top too.we can't let them get away with it.
