ESP errors

Hi all,

I have a 2004 318i F/L and I've been getting these errors intermittently. While I'm driving, the ESP (orange triangle) the parking brake and the tyre pressure lights all come on in orange, and the car just loses all its power.

I had a few issues with my battery where it kept going dead and I had to replace the battery twice, and since then this has started happening.

How serious is this? The car has about 138k on the clock and never given me 1 days crap.

Any advice would be appreciated.

have your codes read thaat should tell you what is going on

but also look at the valvetronic motor

Might also be worthwhile to clean the wheel speed sensors.

thanks for the help.. actually, the VVT motor was replaced about 25k ago.. it was the first and only mechanical failure I had on the car.. and murphy's law it happened about 10k out of warranty!

I'll take the car to BMW to read the codes..

um... is this a big job? Or something I can try myself?

Im pretty hands on, so I should be able to do it.. is there a DIY somewhere for this? with pics maybe??

As far as I know this is something that you can do yourself, although I have never done it, but a quick search on the internets should provide more info.
