Error code on BMW 330d e90

Hi Guys

Been driving my 330d e90 2007 model for just over 2 weeks now. Still driving great.

I got to work this morning and saw a error come up on my dashboard with a ! icon. I had the error code read on the car and this is the error:

P0401: Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Insufficient Detected

I called the Dealership that I got the car from and they advise that I bring the car in and they will sort it out.

Question: Is this a major issue to fix? I'm still a noob in understanding cars.

Thanks guys

Do EGR delete and have that error coded out.

Gert from OBDWorx (forum advertiser) should be able to help you out.

Yea, either the previous owner already deleted/blocked the EGR (and didn't code out the error), or it has failed. Wouldn't be too worried.

If you're still in CPT, I can refer you to the guys that did the performance modifications on my 330d, and can code that out for you.

Currently the car is back at the dealership as they found that the damper pulley broke and must be replaced
