electronics - telecoms help needed

A call out for anybody that has any advice or can assist or can direct me to someone that can assist

We have an old Samsung DCS-408 PABX system, 2 telephone lines, with two cordless units and one desktop SAMSUNG DS-5007S phone.

It seems as if the power supply to the main electrics box is on its way out.

The phones ring, but when one tries to pick up the call, either by handset or by cordless phone, the system dies, and goes thru a rest phase.

I have phoned around for people to repair it locally, but no-one seems willing or able

Money is "WAY TOO TIGHT" to replace it with a new system

so I either need a lead for someone that can repair it, or someone that can trace the wires and then bypass the Smasung sytem and wire the phone line directly into a stand alone phone, I have an old stand alone phone.

anybody ?

Ralf, why not just pick it up where Telkom terminates the line in building and then run a new RJ11 cable on your own, would be cheaper and easier than tracing? Telkom can also do this for you at a price too

been considering that
there are 3 main cables coming in, 2 lines and one fax, problem is they all go into a big junction, and to try to figure out, with my "limited" electrics knowledge, I could plunge the shop into the dark ages.....o-sorry it is there already
