E9x n55 launch control

Hi guys,

I tried following the book to use the launch control to the tee but the flag doesn't appear and my revs stay below 1200rpm.

I have a e92 335i n55 with the dct transmission.

Anybody successful in this care to share the secret?

Thanks

I know most people under estimate how hard you need to press the brake, press it HARD, also make sure car is warmed up to normal temps

Make sure oil is warm

Drive car for about 20km before trying to launch

Steps

1. Make sure car is stationary
2. Make sure dct is on and sports mode off
3. Press brake and keep pressed
4. Hand brake down
5. Put car into M1 (gear)
6. Press sport mode so it's on (highlighted by green)
7. Press dct ONLY once (dct sign will show on dash)
8. Once all engaged press accelerator right to floor past the Kick down

You will the see flag on dash and revs increases for launch

Hope this will help

Not bad

What mods have you got ?

Using octane or race fuels will help
Good semi slicks for traction

And practice - it takes time to get the feel of ur car

Spinning ain't winning. You definitely need some better tyres if you're spinning that much at stock power level.

The key to a good 1/4 mile time is a quick 60ft. Some good tyres on there and you'll do better for sure.
