E9X M3 DCT Paddle Shift Trouble

Hi All,

Recently purchased a E92 M3 DCT and obviously downshifts is a must :tiptoe:

Intermittently the downshift paddle will not work but I can still downshift on the knob. Every morning I drive and it will down shift but then stop. The same thing is happening with the upshift now.

Any idea what this could be? Auto Electrician could not figure out whats wrong (Useless :) )
No fault codes relating to gearbox just P0030 (HO25 Heater Control Circuit (Bank 1 sensor 1).

Appreciate the help in advance

Had same issue on my M5 mine was spring related to the paddle and it became soft and wasn’t talking to the gearbox or ecu or whatever it should talk to. Take it to a Bmw workshop they may just need to replace a spring or something may be mechanical not electronic or software related.

Appreciate the feedback! Okes were talking about connectors and the spring but seems spring it the real issue.

No worries. I hope they repair rather than you having to buy new paddles.

Where are you based?

Couple scrap yards stripping DCTs, not sure if they will sell the paddles seperately, but you can always try
