e92 M3 steering vibration - PLS HELP!

Dear readers,

I have recently upgraded from original 18" to original 2nd hand 19" rims on my M3. When travelling at speeds of 120+ I get a vibration coming through on my steering wheel. It is extremely annoying.

I had balancing and wheel alignment checked with BMW, and now am planning to have the rims themselves checked for faults / bends etc...(visually they are in spotless condition)

Apart from the obvious rim checks that i need to do, i was just wondering if anyone else has ever experienced this?

PS - my 18" did not cause such a vibrate, hence im assuming it HAS to be the rims.

Thanks for your insights.

Kind Regards,
Marek

Probably a buckled rim(s), get it check at wheel collision center in Edenvale, very good and very fast turn around time... Good luck:=):

It definitely sounds like a buckled rim

Hi, check if its buckled, or check for cracks, if it doesnt have any problems, how is the tyres...flat spots, if all else fails, do speed balancing!

Are you selling the 18's?
