Hi there folks, I'm driving a 2011 325i coupe M-sport with 19" wheels.
Yesterday while driving I heard a loud bang as if I'd just driven through a pothole, but there wasn't any hole or bump in the road. When I stopped the car and checked underneath, I saw that the right side upper control arm had broken straight through.
Is this something that anyone here has experienced before? Also, what should I be expecting to pay for a new control arm (just the cost of the part, I've removed the broken one already and will fit the new one myself). Would you suggest going non-genuine or is OEM the only way to go?
Thanks in advance, open to any suggestions.
