Only problem with these units is if a LED bulb goes, its pratically impossible to get it replaced. I have a set of these light and these units are sealed.

Funny thing about these lights is that i have them on my M3 for a few years now and a fault code always appears on the nav screen, "2nd stage break light failure". Now this is because of the 2nd stage being disconnected or something like that, so the fault wouldn't show up while driving just the usual warning symbol on the dash. However some hectic driving coupled to hard breaking calls the fault up again.

Took the car to BMW at first since i thought that its the usual fault were the ecu is getting the wrong voltage from the LED's and hence the fault code, but they tell me nothing can be done by them and i must just let it be. Well after a month of ownership, the fault never appear again and its been that way for like the last 3 years.

I think the car must have got annoyed with the fault codes

Any advice for an OEM E90 LCI tail light? The LED turn signals on the passenger side are dim most of the time and a few are dead most of the time. I heard it's a bad connection which seems likely as the LEDs work sometimes even if it is only for a short period of time.
Apparently it's a common problem & BMW just replaces both lights when this happens.
