E90 service interval schedule

Hi Guys, i need some input here, i recently bought an E90 330i, at the moment my mileage is on 106000km and the onboard computer showed oil service is due in the next 6000km.

however i just recently changed my front brake pads as they were almost worn out, sent it to an independent workshop (ex bmw mech).

after receiving my car, i notice the computer now says oil change due in the next 14000km, could that be right? did it change itself? or did the mech reset the oil service inspection or what? must i follow the computer or just do the oil change that was due in the next 6000km.

this is my 1st E90 owned so not sure on this

I suspect he reset the service light by accident.

I would go through the service info on the cluster to see what each service item shows, but chances are they reset the oil service - strange that it does not show 25k km though.

Anyway, I would recommend changing the oil every 10k km regardless of the service indicator and/or at least a year. Motorplan scheduled service intervals is fine tuned to create sludge! :thumbs:
