E90 Parking Lights

Hi All,

I drive a 2011, E90, 320d, LCI.

Yesterday I received a warning (left parking beam failure) that my one parking light is dead...I've replaced the globe for the first time since owning my car less than a year ago...and will now need to do so again.

About 6 months ago I had to replace the right beam parking light globe which died for now apparent reason.

I did ask the Service Manager at BMW if this is normal and he said that "these things happen".

Am I just lucky to have replaced three "parking beam" globes in a matter of 12 months?

Normally if the parking lights go it is sometimes better to replace both, seeing that they might have done the same amount of working hours. And yes the parking lights do tend to go, if the headlights do this then start stressing but only if you replaced one and it goes again, same light same side.

Midas/builders globes aren't very good. On my e90 I replaced the rear bulbs, only for one of them to last a month. The actual 1 month old globe was literally black on the inside

Mine does the same thing but I've no clue where these parking lights are.
