Morning All please help,
The time has finally arrived :joy:
but I am confused between getting an E90 Msport pack 2011 and the standard F30 2012 (both will be second hand and not more than 35000 km)
I cant decide as I have been reading all around and some say get the trial and tested machine E90 and in other places I read people saying they will go for a new machine F30 as it is an improvement to the old and the tech is new. The above was not in response to same question, but bits and pieces of convarsations in different topics.

Please help as my head and my heart is

Thanks in advance

Hi there

Can you give us more details on the cars, eg E90 335i , F30 328i etc

If you're looking at the diesels then they share the same basic engine. Only the F30 has the "facelift" if you will of the N series engine.

But if you're getting them both for similar money then it would make sense to get the newer car as it would have a longer lasting motorplan and better resale.

all depends on which E90 you looking at

E90 - 320i Petrol or disiel (M sport and sun roof)
F30 - 320i Petrol (Standard)

My budget is @ R280K, if you have better suggestions than the above models in same price range please help, but is should not be a coupe or my wife will cook me for dinner :)

Definitely the F30 petrol if you want a petrol. As the E90 isnt turbo charged. Is the F30 320d out of your price range? The 8speed auto makes it really quick. And with the extra torque should be quicker than the petrol.

Can you already pick up and F30 for 280k? Wow depreciation sucks.

I would definitley suggest going F30 for the sake of the resale value and just to drive the new/current generation BMW. The F30 feels very different to the E90 in term of the drive and there are quite a few differences inside the car aswell like standard idrive interface, standard Cruise control etc

If you would like an E90 I have a beautiful 2010 M sport 320d Auto that will do the trick but that is not a R280000 car, its more like a R210000 car.

If you would like and F30 I can help you get into something with a budget of R300000, see if we can find something with a few extras.

Feel free to pop me a mail [email protected] and I will send you some options and give you any info you may require.

Hope that helps
