If I am you, I would try get a complete interior, from a car with black interior, go for the Msport model, since you have one.
That way you will have all the bits you need, from seats, to trim panels, etc.

It wont be cheap, but getting a full set off a written off car, will already save you big bucks.

He might as well trade in his car for the same model with clack interior , that'd be cheaper

Not necessarily.
First he will need to find a car in the spec he wants.
He can pick up a full interior (from a car being broken up for spares) for cheaper than a "loss" on trade in + new finance charges + start the debt from all over again + on the road charges, + etc.
What both of you are saying makes sense. But firstly i REALLY battled to find a 330d M Sport manual, as most would know they don't grow on trees.
I can live with the beige, but would like to change it sometime. Planning on doing dashboard first.

So I started with my interior change.
IMHO the change look great.
Next step is to get black covers for the bottom sections,
which should be an easy DIY.

Has anybody dyed there leather seats yet, and is it worth it?

I'm only seeing this thread now. Your cheapest and easiest option is to redye. You can do everything. Carpets and the works. Try places like leather pro or colour glo

Looks good! What did you use to colour/dye the panels?

I'm busy redoing my E46's grey interior - had the handles re-covered and sprayed the non-leather part:

I'll probably colour the speaker grill as well and am planning a similar two tone colour scheme for the centre console and seats.

I used primer, mat black and clear.
After primer did a little sand down.
I know it's not professional, but it's way better than before.

I even sprayed the center consol's leather black, been a month now
with my arm resting and there is no cracks or flaking.
