E90 Heat emanating from Steering column/Footwell

Hey guys,
Im not sure if this is normal or not but maybe you guys can shed some light.
If I drive with my window open, A/C and fan off I notice a drat of hot air coming from the steering column and sometimes footwell area.
Driving faster or the hotter the car gets will increase the amount of heat from what I can tell...
When the window is closed it sort of goes away but as soon as its open it like creates a suction to draw the heat from the steering column.
I have taken it to the dealers and they say all seals and grommets look fine and they isnt anything wrong by the firewall.

Are all e90s like this and is it normal?

Okay so i did a bit of research for you as i have the same issue on the 335.

Alot of other E90 owners had a seal replaced by BMW around the area of the fire wall, once that was replaced they never had that issue again.

Also check if the cabin airfilter in the engine bay has been sealed off correctly.

+1 on column seal the exhaust comes right past the steering column if not sealed properly heat could easily get into the cabin...

The performance downpipes would be a large diameter, i assume it would end up being close to the body of the car
