Hi Gents
Just before the festive season, i decided to give my baby some love, and put in an exhaust system, so got from decat down till the tips. btw this is on a E90 325i. sounds like an animal.

its been a week now, but im still getting that heavy fumes from over fueling? just wanted to know if any one else experienced the issue? does it fade away over time, or is software required to correct the process?

any help would be greatly appreciated:thumbs:

your ecu needs to adapt to the new system, from what i have heard this normally happens after a few hundred km's

You will never get all the fumes away after removing the cats. That is the very purpose of the cats. Your fueling is definitely out, which a remap of the software can correct. Only the remap will provide you with the full potential of the hardware changes. I say this from experience.

I am running Promotec software and very happy with my car.

You could try and force it to adapt by removing the battery terminal. Not sure how effective it would be on an E90 though.

I see you know how to use Google Translate :ty:

I am gifted in all languages. :tease:

I even speak "exhaust tone" and when you rev your car I will be able to tell you if its happy or sad or hungry... :mmm:

+1 And where did you get it done?

You could try and force it to adapt by removing the battery terminal. Not sure how effective it would be on an E90 though.

got it done at power pipes in fordburg, we do all our cars there,
nothing but satisfied with the workman ship and customer service.

can post the details if you interested?

i was driving infront of my mate last night, and geared down in third, and he mentioned the it gave a nice pop with a small flame:rollsmile:

Hmmm, so you're actually potentially losing power with the unburnt fuel :nonono: cool look and sound, but your combustion isn't optimum at the moment.
