Just a note. You don't have to melt the new oem one. I just used self tapping screws.

Is it real leather or synthetic?:eek:mgwaiting:

According to them, it is real. I will make a template of it though before I attempt to fit it so that I can make it locally in case I need to.

The handle is broken up into two parts. The front cover, and a back part which goes into the door. In my case, both the front and back is damaged so both would need replacing.

Parts have arrived. It is not real leather even though it was advertised as Leather. Still worth it as I will put it into a template and buy real leather to do my car. Should be able to get Grey leather and cotton to match. Was my initial plan to do that. Or even use black.

Key holder is real leather. Other parts look good. A bit expensive but will look good on the car.

So essentially you are recovering the parts. They are not replacement parts?

Why not just wrap them or take them to an auto trimmer.

Yeah, they are covers for the part and not replacement. I have considered using a local company but don't know any good enough to do something so specific. Now, I can do it whenever I want and use real leather and do it perfectly as I want to.

Plus, this is more fun for me. lol :cartel:

Howzit Diesel Fan,

I just received my inner door handles as I have the same sticky door problem. I wanted to know if you trimmed the pins down and used washers before using the self tapping screws. I apologise is this seems as a silly question but I don't want to mess this DIY up.

Looking forward to your response.

Hey Justin

Yes I cut them with a dremel. I put the handle on the door card and marked where they needed to be cut from the inside of the doorcard.

Then drilled them to size (some I needed to make deeper holes.

Then used washers and screws.

Hope this helps.
