E90 clutch kit

Hi guys

My e90 325i msport is off plan and I suspect the clutch is gonna give in soon?

What's a good alternative to buying Oem?

And what prices would I be looking at?

I believe the wear and tear for clutch depends heavily on the driving behaviour of each individual. If the driver has a tendency of resting on a clutch especially on stops and traffic lights, the life span of the clutch is reduced. On my previous e90 pre facelift, I changed the clutch after the motorplan has lapsed on 170000, which I think wasnt bad. Anyway, maybe the expert fanatics can shed some light.

Depends on how the clutch is treated. My 330i's clutch has 67k km under its belt but is still perfectly fine - and this even after I had a bit of a launch fail (clutch did not want to fully release for whatever reason) and slipped like mad for a second or so! Terrible burnt clutch smell lasted for about a week before totally clearing up, but even so the clutch is still fine - no slipping or shuddering. Then again, aside from this incident, I am usually very gentle on the clutch - never ride the clutch or use it to hold the car on hills etc, and never really launch from standstill but rather from wheels rolling.

you should be able to get this form most spares shops i fitted one when i did the 6 speed conversion on my car

I got 142k on the clock, I am abit of a enthusiastic driver & do lots of stop start due to working in sandton! Enjoy driving a lot, however a women previously drove the car, I feel the release on the pedal a little high which normally indicates a replacement soon and I have the trust bearing noise when I release The clutch? Also upon idle I can feel the gearbox being a little rougher? Slight vibration?

im guessing 2.5-3k for the clutch kit another 3k for the flywheel if that needs replacing...
