Hi guys I'm considering trading in my 325i for a 330d with 130000km on the clock ... Are there any known issues on these cars ? Heard from a few ppl that the turbos could give issues and are quite expensive to replace ...

There are a couple of well documented issues. The worst of these is as follows:
1) People wondering why you have that silly grin on your face
2) Your increased sponsorship to the Metro Police christmas lunch
3) Your wallet being alot heavier due to filling up less frequently

But on a serious note, these cars are rock solid. Make sure the one you choose has a well documented service history. and has been run correctly, i.e. allowing to idle before you switch off, which may be difficult if you dont know the previous owner.

Turbos not an issue as they were on older generation 320d's. Other trouble areas may be leaky injectors.

Before you take the car, get someone to read codes. If you do take the car, do yourself a favour and do oil and filter changes immediately so you know all is well.

Howzt bud, you wont go wrong with a 330d, best all-rounder and perfect daily in my opinion.
- If its auto, get that box serviced(oil change) ASAP preferably by ZF.
- Between 150 000km and 170 000km expect the vibration damper to be replaced.
- I would also recommend doing a DPF delete, I noticed a big improvement after removing mine and the sound is an added bonus :coolShake:

I cant think of anything else, like all cars, if you take care of them... they will take care of you.

based on service history and to add on what has been said above.., consider budgeting a full fluid flush...

Cooling, brake, engine, gearbox, do what hasnt been done in recent history.
