E90 325i Perfromance Exhaust Advice

Hi all. I need some advice on fitting a performance exhaust to my E90 325i. It has the stock system at the moment. I'm just looking to have the sound abit louder but not too loud. Is it possible to just get the back box changed to accomplish this?

Has anybody tried fitting twin pipes like the 335i has to thier 325i?
Please advise

Thanks

i have an e90 325i lci sportpack.
I am also interested in the 335i split exhaust look.
In my case,I think the rear bumper remains the same, just the diffuser needs to be changed and the exhaust pipes changed.
I stand to be corrected.
Also, its still on motorplan, any advice on this matter.

Any help guys will be appreciated.

To get a deeper tone on the 6 cylinder engines, you can try the golf tee mod, where the pressure regulator pipes is blocked with a. Golf tee, causing the flap in the exhaust to remain open all the time instead of being opened and closed. I don't have a link to it but google it and you will see what I am talking about. Cheap mod, if not a golf tee used, even pinch the pie and cable tie it together.

Golf T mod is an option. Fitting/splitting pipe WILL void motorplan. One member recently fitted the performance exhaust from BMW and stated that it had a deeper note and no drone. Con of fitting BMW approved performance parts is that they are very expensive

Ok I found out the E9x 325i has no flap in the rear box, so the golf tee mod wont work. Its for 330i and 335i owners just to louden up the sound marginally.

If you want a bit louder, but not too loud, with proper R&D having been put into the product, then I would go BMW M Performance Exhaust.

EDIT:

Few vids I found:

If it's out of plan, try decatting and see if you like it. My 330 revs a lot more freely after decatting and it has a slightly louder raspy sound with a deeper growl when idling. Not excessively loud though.

BMW performance exhaust just sounds so great! I've been running the "golf-t" mod on my 330i and does improve the noise but then I love the engine sound more anyway:rollsmile:

Of course preferences differ, in testing a rattle issue on my 330i I disabled the flap actuator by unplugging it (will store errors though) and drove the car for a week or so. At first I was "impressed" by the deeper exhaust note, but it was ALL the time, and that soon got very irritating! I don't like a noisy and excessively deep sounding note when just driving as normal. So for me the stock exhaust actually works quite well, it's subtle when driving normally, and opens up nicely when applying the loud pedal. I would say a bit more "loud" in this case wouldn't be nice though.
