E90 320i Valve Tronic?????

howzit fellow fanatics, upon starting my car this morning i noticed a very rough idle compared to normal idling (checked again during lunch time same problem)- on my way to work the car experienced about +-35% loss of power comapred to normal day to day driving.Did some research on the net and most people who experienced the same symptoms had to replace the valvetronic.Milleage on my E90 320i currently on 150k. This only started today...PLEASE recommend a good mechanic who can have a look at the car.Would also like to hear all the experts advising me on this one.thanks a ton.

if it is rough idle, and does not have a engine fail sign on the dash, and just the ignition sign in yellow, it could be coilpacks buddy.

Booked the car in today @ BMW Autohbahn Isando for the Diagnostics -awaiting feed back. No signs on the OBC yet

diagnostics done, ignition coil failure that's what is causing me such headache - having it replaced and also a service as I'm due in 1300km

Good luck , Coils are not too expensive . You could have taken covers off and checked the coils , it is a schlep sometimes .
