My moms 2010 E90 310i Auto sits between 11 to 14 L/100km in her normal day to day town short trips etc driving

open road between 7 to 9 L/100km depending how its driven

Bearing in mind the cars got like 22000Kms and only just had its first service last year

:dropjaw: My 330 is the same, if not lighter under normal conditions :fishwack: I was expecting slightly lower figures for a 320i:fencelook:

Everyones misconceptions is that the 4cyl BMW will be lighter on fuel..

Yup, but 10+l/100km seems a bit excessive for a 4cylinder. I get 10+ only when I start pushing my car harder than normal.

Also I found that at altitude, my car is much lighter on fuel than at the coast, but performance is obviously significantly better down here.

Also take into account, the cars weigh more or less the same, it takes more work from a 4 pot, to carry similar weight up a hill and to get it going, then it would a 6 pot.

Combined on my ex 320i auto was around 11-12l/100km, majority short urban runs.
Was a heavier touring too.
