E90 320i 2011 MAF

Hi guys.
Back again with another problem. In regards to MAF/HFM, is it possible to have a bad or failing MAF with the relevant fault codes? I ra diagnostics to no avail and then did a diy test by disconnecting the MAF and going for a drive. Without the sensor the she feels alot smoother and less hesitant.

Thanks in advance.

Unplugging the MAF will put the car into "Default" mode so she will run better But heavier on Fuel.

you need to check live data for Airfuel mixture.

that will tell you if the MAF is Busted..

What are your symptoms with MAF plugged in?

Thanks for the reply. The symptoms I have with the MAF plugged in are the following...
Sometimes struggling to starts
Cutting out after starting(like fuel starvation) thereafter starts as normal
High fuel consumption
Sometimes a very rough idle
Very hesitant when putting foot down
I'm experiencing the above all in town driving. When I'm on the highway everything feels normal. When it comes to the diagnostics side, I'm ot much of a guru. I can run a basic scan with Rheingold, but on 3 previous occasions I messed up the FRM. So I'm not that confident. Will you able to guide me through the scan and what values I need to look for.
