e90 320d fan belt replacement

I want to change the fan belt on my 320d, it is a 2005 e90, the current belt is still in good condition, with a few cracks , nothing serious.
I want to change it as it currently has 158k and i think it is about time, i don't take chances on fan belts, and usually keep the old belts in the boot for spare.

Does anybody have a part number i can use at a spare shop? They all want samples, and i don't like working like that, i buy the correct part, take off the old
part and replace it the same time, done.

Does this need any special tools? I have changed a lot of fan belts, and don't like surprises, i see this car uses a lot of torx bolts, and i don't have any of these sockets yet.

Can't help with the part number of the belt, try realoem.com with your vin number for an accurate part number, however I Do suggest you change your tensioner pulley and deflection pulley at the same time, at that mileage the bearings will be dry and ready to fail with a new belt fitted. I got the pulley for the hydraulic tensioner for R260 odd and the other pulley with the offcentre bolt going through was R400 odd from BMW SMG in Durban, the complete tensioner does not have to be replaced... Goldwagon also stocks the deflection pulley but not the tensioner pulley, instead they supply the entire tensioner assembly, they were however 1/3 the price for the belt and it turned out to be the same conti belts the agents supply..

Good luck...
