Hello guys, i have a E90 320D. My diff packed in and some shops want to strip and replace the inner parts whilst some want to replace with a 2nd hand unit. I inquired from BMW and they only sell the entire diff and not the gears etc inside. So I am assuming the strip and replace guys are going to be using generic parts? So my question, do I go for the 2nd hand replacement option or strip and replace option? The 2nd hand option for me has risk as you do not know the mileage of the diff, however it is original BMW parts and should be stronger than replacement brand new part?
