For all you guys salivating over the E24 / 635csi / sharknose etc. How many of you know that it is the successor to the E9? The E9 was launched in the late sixties and carried onto the mid sevenites. It is a really pretty car with awesome lines. Here is a picture of 1 that I have at the moment. It needs a bit of bodywork but is a genuine 88,000 mile "old lady" car :pimp:

This particular model is a 1970 2800 csa (The a is for automatic). It is a California spec car hence the additional side marker lamps.

Wait, what? You have a PICTURE of one, or you HAVE one?

If you HAVE one (what I think :pimp:) that is AWESOME. Does it still go?
Post some more pics please!

Looking at another left hooker in Bloem, plus got dibs on a right hooker in CT and another one in the Garden Route. The CT one is supposed to be a UK spec RHD csl - time will tell.

Plus already got a genuine early csl that needs restoring, plus my tii (Alpina A4 Clone - looks like my avatar).

This is one of only 169 of the original csl's that were built by BMW with the 2985cc motor and twin zeniths. It came with ally panels (still intact), no front bumper and a fibreglass rear bumper (intact). This car is a bit of a wreck at present but is a GBP50,000 car when restored - worth the effort!

Photos of the other cars to follow.
