E82 120d performance upgrades

Hey guys,

I have done a lot of searching but couldn't find what I am looking for. I found a lot on the various 320d platforms as well as the 120d E81/E87/F20/F21 platform, but nothing really on the 1-series E82. I'm not sure if the information from one of the other platforms can be taken, because unfortunately I don't know if any of these engines are the same as the E82.

I would like to know what performance upgrades can be installed on the E82 120d, along with any recommendations, pricing and experiences you might have regarding these upgrades.

Excuse my ignorance, are JBD an approved BMW performance upgrade for warranty purposes?

Also any idea on pricing for the above mentioned items?

What about software?

Bud if youre worried about MP, then dont touch anything under the hood...

No I'm not really worried about MP, I was just curious as to if JBD was approved by BMW. Unfortunately for me I am completely new to BMW and I still have to learn the in's and out's of the various engines, aftermarket performance options, visual options, suppliers, etc.

I'm in the same boat as you....

Had a chat with sherwin @xcede, they got a couple options for 120d (software, downpipe .etc.) none of these will ever be bmw approved unless you purchase bmw ppk or ac schnitzer performance kits which are crazy expensive.

I'm still waiting to see proof of gains (dyno sheet) on a 120d using JBD. Would put my heart at ease before spending the money...

I dont recall what i said to the OP.

We have had no success with the JBD for the 120d. There are better piggyback tuning options on the market for this platform. Drop me a PM.
