E70 X5 programming guru

Hi. I am looking at programming my 2007 e70 x5 3.0d xdrive. It came with the very dim yellow halos. That is one of the first things I want to change. I want the angel eyes to be my DRL's, but currently, when i choose that option, it switches on my low beams as my DRL's. Please help. Please. Is there a programming/retrofitting guru in the house?

I bought the K+CAN K+DCAN USB cable thinking I could do this myself, but all attempts at figuring out the software have failed.

I had a similar issue with my own X5. I was eventually able to have permanent "DRL" angel eyes by purchasing Carly BMW android app and their obd adapter. The programming was simple and completed in about 15 minutes. As for changing the the colour of the halos that's another story and about half a day's work, and involved dismantling a lot of the front of the car. But we'll worth it when it's done.
