I have a 2003 530d E60 and I've a high battery drain coming from the fuel pump. What happen is that I've retroffited the CIC system and I don't know if by coincidence, but the next day the battery was flat. I've jump started it with cables and when I got to work I've charged it with a proper battery charger and the battery is in good condition. Meanwhile, I've been having the drain every day that I dont unplug one battery terminal at night.
I hear that every minute (sometimes less than one minute) the fuel pump works for 3sec even when the car is locked, and it stays like this all day and night. I've already replaced the fuel pump relay, checked all the other relays and fuses in the glove compartment, next to the battery and even next to the ECU. The car goes into sleep mode because the P light on the automatic selector goes off after some minutes, so know I run out ideas. What can it be making the fuel pump to send the initial signal without stopping? Thanks in advance. Sergio
