Good morning my fellow fanatics
I really need some advise with the front suspension on my 2007 530d. I have knocking and thumping noises on rough tar roads. When I exit my complex and go over the gate rail in the ground, I get bad suspension bouncing up and down. Imagine one of those little springs that some people have on their household doors that cats love to play with? It makes that "Krrrrrr" sound when they smack it. That is what my front suspension feels like when driving over something.
I have replaced front struts (SACHS from Euro Auto Parts ) last year in March, upper control arms, new upper shock mounts, (twice) with SACHS and now Meyle. Still doing the same thing. I even removed the roll bar links to see if anything changes. Still the same. The only front suspension parts that have not been changed are the lower control arms. They still look fine to me and I can't see any play or movement in them.
The car was better with the old, worn out shocks than with the new ones. I've run out of ideas and don't want to throw more money at the suspension until I know what the cause is.
Can it be that the new shocks are bad?
