E46 Xenon Light Issue

Hi Guys,

Im having a bit of an issue with my Left Headlight, it's much dimmer than the right hand side - only noticed when I was driving behind my Dad and he pointed it out. I replaced both headlights about a month ago so they are virtually new, I'm hoping it's just a loose connection...or could it be the bulb itself?

Looks like an issue with the projector that sits in front of the bulb. Might have moved out of place or the bulb is not sitting securely.

First thing to do is swap the bulbs around to see if the problem follows the bulbs or is the actual headlamp. Will also give you a chance to check if both bulbs are inserted properly.

I looked at the headlight and found the clip for the bulb enclosure is loose, I have no idea how to tighten it though as it's difficult to get a screwdriver in there!

Twist it on and off.
