Well, haven't been happy with the steering feel, I did lot's of research.
Just for anybody who doesn't know how to diagnose already.

Start with beer
Jack up car,
beer

Tie Rod -
Grab front wheel at 3 o-clock and 9 o-clock and shake left to rite, there should be no play. If there is play, Tie Rod or sub components are worn.

Control Arms -
Grab front wheel at 12 o-clock and 6 o-clock, move back and forth, there should be no play. If there is play, Control arm or sub components are worn.

Both components are crucial to stability and safety, of you and your passengers, and sheer driving pleasure :joy:

Nice one. I think I have LCAB issues at the moment, getting them checked and replaced on Monday.

Probably just as useful as my post :roflol:

Moranor, could you hit me with a quote on FCA and tie rods ? :=):
I want them to be perfect with a good angle and alignment, feels SO much more comfortable doing speed in a BMW when this is done.

Isn't powerflex too hard and noisy? I've been told to just replace mine with the OE stuff because the powerflex stuff is too hectic. I have the sport suspension on my E46 330i.

just make sure that you check the wheel thats in the air... this is dependent on how many beers you have had...

and also that you are checking the front wheel...:roflol::rollsmile:
