e46 M3 humming / droning noise when braking

Hi Guys

Anyone knows what could be the cause or experienced this with their e46 M3. When breaking at high speed with my e46 M3 the steering seems to vibrate and theirs a droning noise?

Anyone knows what could be the cause or experienced this with their e46 M3. When breaking at high speed with my e46 M3 the steering seems to vibrate and theirs a droning noise?

When I first bought my M3, I experienced vibration when braking at higher speeds.. the cause was brake pad deposits on teh discs .. presumably from hard braking from the previous owner. I drove the car nicely and braked nicely - applying constant pressure, and after 2000km the pad deposits wore away and the vibration was gone.

I can't be certain that this is your issue, but just adding some insight from my experience.

Not on E46 but on my E36 this happened after I drove through a small puddle of standing water with hot brakes. Had slowed down from (beyond) highway speed just prior to that. Warped the rotor on the passenger side. Never had it on another car. Might be worth checking?
