E46 Key

One of my E46 key no longer works (the remote to open/lock the doors). Do the E46 keys have a battery. If they do have batteries can I replace the battery myself? Where can I get the battery? If not do I need to buy a new key?

Unless I missed it in the referred post, how do I open the key to get to the battery?

That you can google, but what you need is a carpet (or utility) knife, with a NEW and SHARP blade. Cut along the perimeter of the key, where the two halves join.
Afterwards you just superglue the 2 pieces carefully back together :thumbsup:
