So due to my E46 Spares ventures, Allot of the times i come across people with Limited budget looking for Cheaper alternatives..
1 question im faced with allot of the times is with regards to the Heads of the M54's
Scenario.
I had a guy with prefacelift 323i (2.5l) E46 wanting to buy the Head off my 320i (2.2l) Just because it was cheap...
Regrettably i did not want to take the risk of selling it to him and It not working and Wouldnt want to him to take the risk when he is already on a tight budget
Other than very generic, M52TU and M54 engines share the same Head castings, i can never find like a list or thread saying it will work or not.
Funny enough, My 325i motor that was in the Touring apparently had a 320i Head on it. ( the guy i sold that to for his 325ci said his mechanic Measured the valves and it was smaller and could only be from the 320i ) .I apoligized and told him he can return it BUT he never did. so i can assume it works?
Anyone Here know of a site or thread that documents this??
