Hi Guys,
After reading the Thread regarding oil change intervals i am convinced and plan to give my 2003, 318 FL a full service this weekend.
I called the local Stealer in PE and i must admit, prices for the parts were very fair, under R1000 for oil, air, plugs, 5l oil..... the :cursin: came when i heard the price for the fuel filter :bawling: R1,007.93 This price was quickly justified by the statement " it has the fuel pressure regulator attached to it " still didnt take the sting away lol:dropjaw:
So my question is this... due to my business and the people i deal with, i have access to very good prices when it comes to GUD, FRAM and all the other brand names. My e36 and every other vehicle in the fleet was/is serviced with these parts.
What would be the right path here... cough up for the OEM fuel filter or source it through other channels and not go OEM ? is there such a major difference that warrants bending over for the stealer  ?
Cheers guys.
