Good day fellow fanatics.

What is the difference between an e46 325i auto radiator vs manual radiator in terms of piping and fitment?

I converted my car a year ago from auto to manual, now the radiator has a leak and i need it repalced. Besides the oil cooler for the auto fluid, what major differences are there between the two radiators, can i go on to buy a manual radiator and fit?

By what I know the radiator is exactly the same.

I have a 320d radiator in my 325i. Only had to swop over the Expansion bottle and mounting from my 325i radiator onto the 320d radiator and all works.

There is no difference with the radiator. Only the plastic plate holding the expansion bottle is different. The manual one does not have the holes for the gearbox oil cooler.

they seem to have different part numbers:

auto - #17119071519
manual - #17119071518

you could double check on realoem with your VIN, but from the few pics i've seen on ecstuning they do look different, they could be wrong images though..

Morning folks.

My E46 radiator water/coolent runs down and within ten minutes there is no more water in the radiator. Now a conflict of thoughts is either to i) replace a radiator or ii) fix the existing one.

Is there someone who give an advice based on past experience.

Replace rather than try and fix.

The plastic tanks make the radiator irreparable
