My 2cents....:fencelook: Local manufactured batteries (read Sabbat) are better developed for our weather conditions. We have cold in the mornings, warm mid day with showers in-between evenings.

My original battery in my e46 325i was only replaced after 8 years. The OEM batteries are pretty damn good.

I had the oppertunaty to have a tour through Powertech batteries (Sabat and Willard) factory yesterday.
Wow Powertech treated us like 'kings' for 2 days.
Its amazing the quality and engineering that goes into every single battery.
From now on I will only sell Powertech's products

I still have the original battery in my car 9years later and still going strong...

have you ever checked the status/life of the battery via your 'secret' on board screen?

How to do test:

Here is a chart of battery state by voltage - for accuracy this should be measured after 24 hours of no load - i.e disconnected.

Battery State chart:
100% = 12.7V
90% = 12.6V
80% = 12.5V
70% = 12.3V
60% = 12.2V
50% = 12.1V
40% = 12.0V
30% = 11.8V
20% = 11.7V
10% = 11.6V
0% = < 11.6V

I must try that. I did check it a few months ago with a multimeter directly on the battery terminals and was getting around 12.5-12.6V. I think I'll have to replace it some time soon eventually because my battery did die on me once when we did a photoshoot and I had my lights and fogs on for about 30mins. Kickstarted the car and left it idling for a few minutes and never had an issue since.
