Hi guys

So yesterday while driving in traffic with the A/C on, the car suddenly lose power. Died, but started immediately. This happened 3 times within 10 minutes. Nothing since. And today I notice that I need to fill the car up after only doing +-400km.. Filled up, only took 50l of petrol, and the car still showing empty. Range of 18km, light on and guage still going down. Any idea what this could be?

Question: If the car thinks it doesn't have petrol, will it stop, as if no petrol in the tank?

Thanks in advance!

Did you check for petrol leaks on the fuel line and tank?

Fuel level sensor?
I have no clue.. Just worried that the car thinks there's no petrol and I get stranded next to the road

Probably the fuel pump is dead? Won't matter if you have fuel or not.

The fuel pump level sensor is probably stuffed as well (it's one and the same thing) hence the incorrect fuel level reading.

Under the back seat is the in tank fuel pump and two level sensors. Before you fiddle with that check how much fuel you have in the tanks via the cluster. Google on how to get into that menu. If too much fuel is in the first tank then you could have a pump issue.

Thank you. I have done about 100km while the fuel level is at its lowest with the light on and the cluster showing ----km range. There should be about 3/4 tank left

To be 100% sure it might be best to have the codes read.

Otherwise one might as well replace pumps, sensors and filters all in one go and hope for the best.
