Hi all
My 2002 (135kW) 330d auto doesn't crank. Something is amiss in the wiring/relaying to the starter.
I have confirmed starter and solenoid are good by shorting across the terminals with a screwdriver and it cranks fine.
I have confirmed the key switch is ok by seeing +12v on the thick black wire when turned to crank.
Battery is fine.
So the problem is in the immobiliser or gearbox interlock but I don't know where modules and/or relays live, and I don't have a diagram. I have wriggled the gear shift every which way while trying to crank and I'm not getting anything there, and the outputs from lever to indications on the centre console and dash are good.
