Hi all. Im planning to fit a Dastek Unichip, Decat + full freeflow exhaust and an AFE induction kit on my car next month. What are the estimate power gains Im looking at? How will such an upgrade affect my steptronic transmission?

Cheers!!:ty:

Here's a dyno result of the after, did not do a dyno before the mods...I'm running software instead of a chip

Thanks for the info. Is that 106KW at the wheels? What type of software are you running? Will such mods not be strenuous on my Step Tranny?

That's the power on the wheels in JHB. I had the software done at Tunetech, no specific name attacehed to the software. I am considering getting the software changed when finances allow.

I would not worry about the gearbox you not going to be making much more... driving style will have more influence on how long the box lasts...

every engine is different when it leave the factory and it really depends on the tuner and the state of the engine... you will probably sit at about 150kw and 270Nm flywheel at the coast...

I expect a bit more considering the motor has done just over 100k and is in a pristine condition. Thanks Moranor.

I said about  the 2.5l can get close to 160kw but after that you need to look at more expensive stuff like cams or boost...

Hey bro, what other mods do you have on the vehicle and how much of an improvement was it (driving wise) compared to standard?

I've got TNT branches and a free-flow with an AFE induction kit. There's definately an increase in power but nothing major, pulls easier of the line though. The fuel consumption has improved quite nicely. I usually do around 10L/100km, 50/50 town and highway driving with me gunning it in town driving.
