E46 320i cold start proplems

ola people,

A friend of mine ecently bought a E46 320i 2.2. On cold start the idle on the car is really bad, but settles down and runs perfect once warmed up. Just wants to know what is causing this.
Any advice appreciated

It could be the Vanos or the Disa Valve.

The ECU uses the Vanos to warm up the cats.

Mine does it but I think my problem is the Disa.
