Hi all,

So this is my first post...

Well I drive a e46 320d 2001/2002 automatic.
The problem I am having with it is the DDE Light comes on - after the light comes on the car almost chokes likes it's gonna cut out, but it doesn't it just goes in limp mode....
I can start and drive the car but in limp mode - my husband then reset the light and all is fine for a while and then just suddenly it comes on again.
We have done a basic service as we though it might be the diesel filter - but alas it's not...

I am going to drive around with the diagnostics computer from now because after resetting the error then it's fine.

I have read somewhere EGR Valve, MAP Sensor, Rail pressure regulator and inline fuel pump..... Where does one start???

Start by cleaning the MAP sensor and the EGR Valve.

Been through this. It’s either one of two things, the diesel pump under the car or the in tank pump. I would replace the under car pump first. :coolShake:

This.

Same happened to my 530d. The engine isn't getting the right amount of fuel.

Replace the low pressure fuel pump, which can be bought from MD House for I think R650.

And welcome to the forum
