E46 320d 04' Auto

Hi guys,

Im in the market to buy a car as their car was stolen - so i have come across a 2004 320d Auto with about 170k on the clock...

The guy bought the car from Auction books was in the cubbie but when he purchased the car he realized the books weren't in the cubbie anymore.

I do know there is a risk of buying it with no books, I can try call BMW toe see the history for when it was serviced with BMW but after that i dont know.

Should i rather skip it and look for something else, i really dont want to buy a problem car for the old ppl...

If anyone knows of a good car for sale that is Auto please let me know?

I take it this is a private sale? Honestly, buying cars on auction is a serious gamble and there is no recourse for buying a lemon. I know many people who got burned buying auction lemon cars, including my dad.

Look elsewhere, buy it from a dealer so if there is shit you can take it back.

Yeah Gizmo's advice is best for this thread right now, Wayne...what type of car are you looking for and is it for the parentals?

why not put out specs, price range, model year etc etc we can help with the search?

Hi bud, yes it is for the perentals - The Sportline was stolen at my moms work

Father said he would like to own a Audi again mother would like an Auto.

So i would say car should be in good nic, dont want to buy a car and sort stuffies out - just want to get in and let them drive.
I have in mind, A3 Sportback b6 or b7 A4, W203 Mercs and E46 BMW's

Can spend 80 but 85 is max

Would want car to have FSH and hmmmm Auto but its not a must... :clapper:

Damn dude, i am so sorry to hear! Just admiring a Sportline this morning on the way in to work and I was thinking i should get one next year and parking it outside might be an issue, but damn...you put so much effort and time into that Sportline.

i'll keep an eye out for you bud, that B6/7 Audi A4 sounds like the best of the bunch. Consider a Jetta 5?

i'll keep an eye out for you bud, that B6/7 Audi A4 sounds like the best of the bunch. Consider a Jetta 5?

Yes Jetta 5 and Golf 5 would also work nice - also knowing Morne at VW Bryanston makes services on the VAG cars easier and he can look after the car for us...

Well considering the theft of the Sportline, i'd rather go with the Jet5...

IMO just stay away from E46 20d's. They dont have the best track record
