My front passenger window started acting up recently. Seems to have gone out of alignment or something. The glass seems to be at an angle instead of level and when it reaches the top make a terrible cracking noise. like its going past the threshold. Can anyone recommend a place where I can have this checked and repaired professionally(read as some one who knows what they are doing and are not going to stuff up the clips and door pad etc trying to fix this thing).

Hey there. My advice: This is an easy DIY. Get yourself a new window mechanisim and use the plentiful online diy guides to remove the old one and install your new one. Search on this forum, you will find a "how to" or two:thumbs:

yip the mechanisms gone...if you keep opening and closing it'l eventually break completely and the window will fall in..iv heard welders can fix if not badly damaged..look at scrap yards if stealers too pricey..GL

Easy DIY Goldvagen/midas sell the mechanism R850-R900.

The toughest part of the job is removing all silicone crap sealer for the dust cover in the door and putting it back.

Oh and remembering not to break the little plastic clips and where the hell all the screws were when you want to replace everything.

Had to do 3 windows this year. R750 for front left at Beemow Spares in Pretoria.
