Hi All,
Was killing some time yesterday and went back to a site that I was on around 7 years back and almost bought an e39 M5 off in the UK. The only thing that stopped me in the end was the bureaucratic red tape and insane duties associated with bringing such a vehicle into SA. Back then I found on in Crystal Blue (similar to Silverstone - never had the colour here) a 2002 car with 38k miles and was in pristine condition for GB6700.00, which at the time was equivalent to around R70k. There were quite a few of them and all ranged from 4k - 8k UK pounds dependent on year and mileage but all were in very good to pristine condition with full service history. I got a shock yesterday however......the cars advertised prices are now ranging from around 9k UK pounds to an astronomical 39k pounds!!! again the year model and mileage play a huge role but I don't think any were younger than 2002. All have history and excellent condition in comparison to what you would generally find here but it appears the Senior King of performance sedans is on the rise in terms of value. I would suggest to those of you that are lucky enough to own these fantastic cars keep hold of them!!! I was stupid to get rid of mine ......but hey
