E39 head-on collision. NSFW

My usual travels to BMW scrapyards you see the darker side of motoring and every now and then they bring in ones that truly shock you. This was an example I saw last week. Impact of the HOC was the common front right corner, must have been a high speed hit to get that much penetration and deformation, the 528i engine was pushed back and towards passenger side pushing up the dashboard. Passenger safety cell rather intact but driver side completely gone.:thumbdo:

If its not too shocking I will in future take more shots of seriously damaged BMWs in my trips to the scrapyard. No-one ever posts pics of what these cars look like after serious accidents, it really is an eye opener to know how your car will fair in an accident, makes you be that much more vigilant on our wonderful South African roads...

If you guys are ok with it I will start a thread "BMW Arrive Alive" and post some of the more shocking accident damaged cars.
Maybe start a poll to judge if fanatics want to see these scary BMWs or not?

My uncle is a paramedic and he has shown me some grewsome images of cars smashed. It's images you cannot get out your head, but must admit it makes me think twice when speeding.
