E39 525i FUEL CONSUMPTION UPDATE

Hi all, i'm pleased to announce that after monitoring my consumption after 3, R300 fills my cars consumption has dropped from the 16 litres/ 100km to a tastier 12.5 litres/ 100km. I come up about 35 km - 40km short of what my range indicates. Thanks to Maximus, Minimike, Maranor, Nic_s, Sabre tooth tiger, Wattingh, Raybimmer and Sclass for all the input.

Hey clinton76. Glad to see such a big improvement. :thumbs:
Is this town driving consumption, freeway, or combined? For anything other than town driving alone, I would stick my neck out here and say that 12.5 was still a bit steep. I get that on a combined cycle with the 540 and when I had the 528 it was about 11.5. Not to be negative, just an observation. Driving styles also differ.
