e38 Swings but no start

Hi all its my firsttime here so please be patient with me. I have 740i 95 it was drivin fine suddenly it start missing or when I put my right foot down it delays to pickup speed. At last when I start in the morning it was like there is no petrol starting but droping idle till it swings only till today. I noticed just before it stops shifting from D to 3 or 4 it was not smooth it was hard to shift and after it stops there was this message Trans Failsafe Prog. Please help. As you know all Im after is the Power of Kickdown.
