i fixed my glove box for good.......
after taking it apart i found a solution.
Before
During
After
i didnt take picture whilst i was busy as i was certain it wouldnt work.
but it did.
i found that the lock itself actually moves from it original spot and then creates that gap when closing the glove box.
i removed the complete box and mechanism from the car and reinforced the lock back to its original position and it fixed the gap.
making sure the cable tie doesn't interfere with the mechanism.
the light fits back in and works perfectly.
with everything out the car its actually easy to fasten the lock mechanism back to its original position.
hope you get the basic idea.......
ignore the holes i drilled in the "during" picture. it was a failed attempt at fixing the issue.
